LIND Canvas is an electric surfboard that lets you experience the feeling of surfing anywhere there is water — lake, river, sea. No boat, no risk of exposed propeller, no hassle with transportation. Just take the board under your arm, the battery and go in your backpack, and surf whenever and wherever you want.
The board is based on traditional surfboard shaping — it's made of EPS foam, laminated with epoxy resin, and topped with an oak wood block and stringer in the tail. It weighs only around 7 kg, so you can easily carry it under one arm.
At the heart of the board is a modular drive unit — a battery and jet that slide into the board’s frame and secure with a sleek locking mechanism. Installation requires no tools and takes about 15 seconds. Plus, you can move the same drive unit between multiple boards.
The world's first battery designed specifically for a surfboard consists of 192 lithium cells with twice the energy density of a Tesla Model S battery, 48 built-in temperature sensors and a real-time self-balancing system. The battery is integrated into the bottom of the board, where it is naturally cooled by the water.
The 20 kW (27 hp) water jet weighs just 10 kg and has a transmission efficiency of 97%. It allows speeds of up to 65 km/h (40 mph) and smooth acceleration thanks to a wireless controller with 15 power levels and a radio switch in case of a fall.
There are two shape options to choose from: Shortboard for sharp, agile turns and Midlength for a calmer, more stable ride. Both models include a magnetically attached fin of our own design.
LIND also offers the option of a custom board — a tailor-made design, colors, and materials for a unique piece.
